New Xbox 360 'E' Teardown: Found to be Easier to Repair
By , - Source: iFixit

Though most of Microsoft's E3 keynote focused on the Xbox One and associated content, the company also gave the current generation Xbox, the Xbox 360, a little love at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. To better fit in with the look and feel of the Xbox One, the Xbox 360 has been given a bit of a redesign, designated by some as the Xbox 360 E. The changes to the outside of the console are cosmetic, but the iFixit team set out to discover whether or not that has affected the inside of the console. More specifically, iFixit wanted to know if the new design would make the Xbox 360 harder to repair.

Handily enough, iFixit found that the case on this version of the Xbox 360 is actually easier to remove compared to the current generation model, and the console itself scored an impressive 8/10 on iFixit's repairability scale. Unfortunately, the team's adventures with the Xbox 360 E also revealed that the console has one fewer USB ports.
