The Bulldozer core-based 4130 arrives with a clock-speed of 3.8/3.9 GHz and slots into the desktop PC portfolio between the FX-4100 and FX-4170. To make room for the new processor, AMD dropped the price of the 4100 to $101. The 4130 sells for a tray price of $112.
AMD slashed the prices of 13 more processors, affecting the high-end FX-8100 series, the FX-6000 series, as well as the dual-core, triple-core and quad-core A-series APUs. The liquid-cooled 8-core 8150 is now priced at $251, down from $271, while the regular 8150 sells for $183, down from $204.
On the low-end, the dual-core A4-3300 APU dropped from $53 to $46. According to AMD's Gary Silcott, the new prices are in effect now and should be seen in retail today.
