Looking for the capacity of a hard drive or SSD in a USB stick form factor? Corsair revealed such a solution on Monday with its new Flash Voyager GTX USB 3.0 flash drive. Available soon in 128 GB and 256 GB capacities, these two drives are the company's fastest to date, with transfer read speeds up to 450 MB/s and write speeds up to 350 MB/s.
According to the company, these two drives have "the inner technologies of an SSD" that will keep the drives in tip-top shape for years. That includes USB Attached SCSI and S.M.A.R.T. monitoring, and TRIM support that helps curb wear and tear so that the two drives maintain their high performance.
"With up to 256 GB of storage, Flash Voyager GTX's enormous capacity options ensure that even the largest files, such as operating systems, game installs or high definition video projects, can easily fit on the drive alongside other multimedia content -- with plenty of room to spare," states the PR.
The drives are compatible with both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0, as well as Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Both will become available in July through authorized distributors and resellers for $119.99 (128 GB) and $199.99 (256 GB).
