EVGA has officially released its SuperNOVA 1200 P2 power supply. This power supply is a longer ATX size unit with what is a fairly standard feature set, but comes with an excellent warranty.
EVGA has built the PSU with high-quality components, so we find Japanese solid state capacitors along with a single 12 V rail design. The PSU is also quite efficient, and as such it carries an 80-Plus Platinum rating. Okay, there is an influx of titanium PSUs these days, however, you'll have to run those at higher loads for very, very long times before you earn back the price difference.
Cooling of the unit is taken care of by a 140 mm double ball bearing fan, and connectivity is fully modular. Also present, of course, are all the expected safety features including OVP, OCP, SCP, and more.
MSRP pricing for the unit is set at $269.99, though we'll probably see slightly lower minimum street prices over the next few months. For this price you also get a 10-year warranty, though this warranty does come with a catch; you have to register the PSU within 30 days with EVGA to qualify.
