680i Part One motherboards return for re-testing with the updated RAM and drivers mentioned in the System Hardware table of this comparison's previous page. In the interest of fairness, they also get BIOS updates, Asus Striker Extreme version 901 (02-24-07) and Abit IN9 32X-MAX version 1.1 Beta 6 (02-23-07). Anyone prepared to cry foul about Abit's Beta BIOS must remember that both MSI and Gigabyte presented pre-release boards lacking any retail BIOS!
For performance purposes, the ECS PN2 SLI2+ also stands in for BFG's 680i SLI because it's the same board: The accessory package is different, but accessories were not benchmarked.
