The ScotteVest never looked so good

With 30 pockets of various sizes, the SCOTTeVEST could probably hold all the items in our Holiday Buyers Guide! This new model of the famously geeky jacket has removable solar panels to charge up your favorite gadgets.

The interior is made of CoolMax fabric to wick away moisture, while the exterior is made of waterproof and breathable Finetex. The sleeves are removable, as is the rain hood, which is concealed in the collar. The somewhat flexible solar panels are attached to the back of the vest; they too can be removed.

The 30 pockets are located all over the vest. Two of the pockets have keychain loops, and the right breast pocket has a useful plastic ID holder. The vest has a PAN (Personal Area Network) built in - a group of channels that route cables. The solar panels attach to a USB charging unit. Separately purchased USB charging cables can be used to power cell phones, PDAs, or other gadgets.

The Solar SCOTTeVEST costs $425, and can be purchased from the SCOTTeVEST website
