Generous Package
As far as accessories go, Asus isn't stingy with its P4R800V Deluxe. In addition to four IDE or serial ATA cables, the motherboard also comes with various slot bracket adapters. The interfaces, which are not directly controlled by the I/O panel, are led out via adapters - thus the two additional USB 2.0 ports, the game/Midi port and the two SP/DIF sound jacks. Not to be forgotten is the second COM port, which had to cede its original position on the I/O panel to make way for the two S-video and composite video outs.
In addition to the driver CD, which includes an anti-virus program and Acrobat Reader, the package also provides WinDVD Suite, which consists of a DVD and MP3 player. With the WinDVD Creator 2, video can be captured via the FireWire interface, then edited and burned onto a DVD.
