Age of Empires 3

The HD 3870 X2 confirms its lead in Age of Empires, where it benefits largely from a big computational throughput. As a matter of fact, it's the only card to be limited by the processor in 3 of the 4 resolutions tested in this game. You'll need to go to 1920x1200 for it to be differentiated from the 8800 Ultra, where it's 11 to 14% better. Be advised that the CrossFire of HD 3870 crashed systematically right after the game was loaded.
