Yeong Yang YY-A208

Previous Next
12:02 PM - 01/05/2005 by Siggy Moersch

The Yeong Yang YY-A208 looks like a black box that is small and solid. The MicroATX case also looks very shuttered up as all connections and drive bays are concealed behind front panels. A closer look however reveals that these are made of cheap plastic and do not look very sturdy. Yeong Yang said no to a FireWire (IEEE1394) port on the front panel. Only a pair each of USB and audio ports are operable from the front of the case. A return spring ensures that the front panel automatically re-closes after inserting the CD/DVD drive sled. A ventilation duct in the top of the case takes care of dispersing CPU heat dissipation. Inside the YY-A208 there is enough space for installing hardware.

A small 2.4" (60 mm) fan is the only source of ventilation in the MicroATX case besides the power supply fan. The power supply handles up to 250 Watts and has only three peripheral connectors. None of these are outfitted for SATA.
