Hi All,I have just taken delivery of my Z500 and first results seem promising, After trying it out in my garden I played the footage back on my 47" HD LCD TV the pictures were stunning every detail including zoom footage was truly amazing, I think the owners manual could have been improved on and a little more detail would have been better, I have mine on 30 day appro, and no way is this going back. I am a TomsHardware fan since 2003 and I will be forever.
I don't comment a lot but since I am right now, just wanna say that quality of some reviews are poor, reviews should go deep into details. I am not saying all reviews are poor... just some of them.
I got the 2263UW Samsung 22" Monitor for the hot design, sacrificed 10000:1 and 2ms and got 8000:1 and 5ms which is average in my consideration. Other Samsung monitors have better specs than this.
I have used Samsung, BenQ, ACER and ViewSonic LCD monitors and I like Samsung most in terms of visual quality.
The 2263UW didn't have a lot of reviews on the internet but I just went and grabbed it hoping for the best. I got a Samsung A panel which is supposed to be the best, however, I am really disappointed in the depth of color, the colors are not deep enough. I tried correcting it but I am still having problems. The monitor's menu is full of predefined settings which is really confusing.
I didn't test the web cam nor speakers. I didn't test the HDMI.
Touch sensitive buttons are reactive enough and aided with beeping sound but you can't tell which button you are pressing so you have to look at them. When you change a setting, the monitor lags for about 1 second like it's saving so the touch buttons will not react.
Don't expect a lot from the included software.
I am really disappointed in the color depth as in my previous experience, Samsung had rich colors. I will be looking for any new calibrations that give better colors.
My suggestion, don't buy this monitor, get another one.
I had great experience with Samsung, I am planning to get a new Samsung monitor soon if this one didn't meet my expectations.
Regarding the BlackLight Bleeding, most monitors bigger than 20" may have some, I have 1cm of bright black light bleeding at the top of the screen and some faded blacklight bleeding at the bottom of the screen.
