The event log is pretty detailed.

Remote Control

The remote control feature is very helpful. Imagine one of your systems has crashed and you cannot even use remote access solutions such as VNC or Remote Desktop. In such a case, an AMT reset will trigger a hard system restart.

Network Settings

AMT supports virtual LANs, which is used to run two different network connections across two networks using one physical cable connection. You typically need switches with VLAN support to set these up, but AMT's VLAN feature works with regular network hardware to create the out-of-band management experience I mentioned above.
