Computex 2007 Summary
Computex reminded us somewhat of a car tuning show, where the focus is on customization rather than innovation. However, there were still lots of interesting things to be discovered.
Computex 2007: Mobility to Go Round, Boxed Supercomputing and the Redefinition of Video
The last day of Computex brought us GPS devices, a supercomputer-in-a-box, perfect HD video applications, DTX cases without suitable motherboards, and the first true DYI notebook.
Mega Memory and Graphics Galore
We saw more Flash-based hard drives than we can remember and many graphics configurations, some new and some not, they were all here with a lot to talk about.
Storage, 4+ GHz Quad Cores and Systems
Our day 3 coverage includes lots of storage products, Core 2 Quad overclocking records, HTPC cases, fancy notebooks and the second generation of Ultra-Mobile PCs.
Coolers and Power Supplies
The first day of Computex held some surprises for us. We saw various useful and useless cases, new cooling solutions, and a plethora of power supplies that output up to 2,000 W.
Motherboard Mania
We visited the big motherboard companies on the first day of Computex. Read about Turbo Memory for PCI Express, extreme motherboard features, on-board DDR3 RAM and the latest super-computing buzz. Also check out our X38 and RD790 motherboard photo galleries!
Welcome to Computex 2007: The last of it's kind
No, Computex Taipei is not going to disappear. As a matter of fact, the largest hardware-only computer show is still growing.
