Well, here you go, 6 days later they are everywhere on a market and I personally have flash drives inside of my computer as a main memory, In fact I have 2 SSDs in raid with Amazing speeds taking advantage of latest 6GB/s sata technology. Everything just flies and the advantage is tremendous. I managed to get up to 1Gbyte/s for read and up to 0.7Gbyte/s for write. Isn't is awesome? How far we've gone in only 6 years since this article was published!
