We used two Western Digital WD1500 Raptor-X hard drives at 10,000 RPM. We always use one drive for read operations, while the second one takes care of large write operations.
The test systems each feature two WD1500ADFD hard drives (WD Raptor 10,000 RPM).
All systems were equipped with 2 GB of memory.
The DDR2 memory CM2X-1024-6400C3 is from Corsair and is operated at CL4-4-4-8.
Since some benchmarks require a soundcard, the test systems are decked out with the Terratec Aureon Space 7.1.
All CPUs were tested with the GV-RX19X512VB-HRH (ATI X1900XTX) from Gigabyte. An ATI Radeon X300 was used solely for the power consumption measurements.
