Now, connect the points that you have marked in the step above using a line drawn between them. Make sure that you use a yardstick so that the guideline will be straight.
Next, place the window edge on your line and center it left or right in your desired position. Once you have it where you want it, make a mark for a reference for your vertical placement.
Now lay the window back on the connecting points of your guide lines in order to confirm the placement of the window from left to right.
Measure and confirm the vertical line placement and once again make two points to mark your vertical line reference point. Next, connect your vertical reference points by using your yardstick or ruler. If you happen to have a framing square, now would be a good time to check and see if the horizontal and vertical reference lines are square.
