What do those who seek the best image-quality settings look for in a pre-built system? While Quad-SLI is an elitist product from Nvidia, the current high-level technologies are tomorrow's upper mid-level systems.

Meanwhile, there have also been many changes in the high-tech computer world. Intel debuted Core 2 Duo and AMD purchased ATI. To top it all off, AMD is lowering prices, making the high end even more affordable. So where does this leave the low man on the totem pole? Well, you are still some time away from getting a Quad SLI-equipped system, but the platform itself is coming down in price.

For those still interested in a high-end PC with all of the frills, we received two quad graphics systems from different makers. This should give you some idea of what to expect if you are in the market for a new system with all of the bells and whistles. The systems on hand are AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 based, with two Nvidia GeForce 7900GX2 "longboards" in Quad SLI. Hold onto your hats - we are in for a ride!
