The MSI Core Center allows monitoring all the important board parameters. The processor fan speed can also be adjusted live in Windows XP.

MSI advertises asynchronous operation of x16-PCIe and FSB, which however is only possible starting at 110 MHz PCIe clock speed (10% overclocking).

Dynamic overclocking works amazingly well. FSB clock speed and thus CPU clock speed are automatically increased by a defined percentage according to settings and then taken down again when load is low.

The Platinum Edition box is pretentious and promotes high expectations, not all of which are completely satisfied.
