Benchmarks And Scores
3DMark 2003
THG has been using its different versions of 3DMark for years. The mark is set using a reference system; the higher the score, the better the performance of that system versus the reference one. With each new version of 3DMark, scores are scaled down so they do not become astronomically high. The latest version of 3DMark came out last week but we encountered some problems on some cards and felt it was too soon to add the benchmarking software. With every benchmark, we like to test them in depth before we start using a new one. The hardware driver is set to Application controlled for AA and AF, Vertical Sync is disabled and the mipmap detail option is set to Quality.
