Software installation is automatic. Apart from the usual drivers and the camera management program, the installation process copies the sample images, Logitech Desktop Messenger, which automatically update's the brand's software, and Print Service which offers a printout, via a commercial site, of your photos taken with the QuickCam or any other digital camera. And here again you get a download of MSN Messenger, more powerful and intuitive than Windows Messenger. Unless of course you'd rather have Yahoo Messenger which is equally compatible with Orbit.

Then up pops a configuration wizard which automatically adjusts the integrated microphone and the video. This, as we already said, is where you'll be really impressed by the quality of the sound and image, way ahead of other Webcams. The mike is outstandingly sensitive and you get a feeling of childlike wonder when the Orbit starts to move.
