Although Dell originally announced its Pentium D 900 series-based XPS 700 system last May, few - if any - customers who purchased this system have actually seen it shipped to them. And most of those customers, who have now been offered upgrades to the improved, Core 2 Duo or Extreme-based model, have been told their systems will ship in mid-October, if not later.
