Samsung HD300LJ: Serial ATA 2.5

The HD300LJ is the version of this drive that supports the SATA interface. In its SpinPoint P120, Samsung already delivered support for a fast 300 MBs SATA interface. But in truth, this interface is purely incidental to everyday usage. Today's drives can't yet beat UltraATA/100's fastest realistic sustained data transfer rate of about 85 MBs. Also, only when files may be retrieved from the drive cache, does interface bandwidth really come into play. In practice, this seldom makes a noticeable difference in overall performance.
