Spatial Uniformity
On the other hand, the results were surprising here. The NEC monitor didn't necessarily do any better than the others. Its panel was fairly uniform overall, even if the upper part of the panel showed a slight brightness deficit. But frankly it wasn't a problem during use.

Overall, we were very happy with the chromatic qualities of the NEC 1980Fxi.
NEC 1980Fxi: The Other Side Of The Coin
NEC has optimized their product for photography and pro image processing. And unfortunately, that's all the monitor can do well.

You can see clearly that the 1980Fxi is slow. Its latency readings peaked at 33 ms, and in the best case it logged 18 ms. So obviously, this monitor can't be recommended for playing recent computer games.
