LightWave 3D 8.2

Lightwave 3D from NewTek is an application for professional 3-D rendering. The program is thread-optimized and requires a lot of processing time.

Installation

The basic version 8.0 has to be installed first, before version 8.2 or 8.2.1 can be installed.

Lightwave requires a dongle to prevent illegal copies of the software.

Settings

We load the scene 'TeaserSample' from 'File » Load » Load Scene'. Then we switch to 'Render » Render Options' and adjust the following settings:

We use these setting when benchmarking with Lightwave. A maximum of eight threads produces the best results even with single-processor systems.

Benchmarking

F10 starts the rendering sequence.

The result that interests us is called 'Rendering time'.
