The Eclipse Computer Light is designed to reduce Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) and screen glare.
I received the Eclipse Computer Light last holiday season as a gift, and it is one of the coolest gadgets that I have seen. The theory behind the Eclipse is that it uses indirect lighting to help reduce glare and eyestrain. Of course I was skeptical, but after using the Eclipse for over a year now, I have to admit that it works. It provides a nice lighted work area over your monitor and it can help reduce the eyestrain that is normally associated with marathon sessions behind the computer. According to OneTech, eyestrain is one of the leading complaints of over 72 million computer users, and much of it is caused by monitor glare. Monitor glare is the leading cause of CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome), and the Eclipse is designed to fight this problem. While monitor glare reduction might not seem to be a big deal, it does make a difference in your visual acuity and helps prevent your eyes from feeling strained and tired after hours of looking at the monitor. Although the Eclipse isn't in wide distribution, it can be found at a few major retailers, such as Best Buy, MicroCenter, and also several online sources. If all else fails, you can order an Eclipse directly from OneTech.
