At the end of the day, the Razer is clearly the winner for its superior performance. It's on a par with the G5 from Logitech, with a more aggressive shape and fewer functions. This is primarily a mouse for demanding gamers, but anyone who isn't turned on by multidirectional track wheels and Magnifier functions will love its astounding performance.

However, the shape and the functions, reduced to the essentials, won't please everyone. The Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 is a diabolically precise mouse with optimum comfort. In light of its more affordable price, it's a good choice for anybody who wants comfort and uses the computer as an all-around tool. For hardcore gamers, though, the shape, the USB speed and the track wheel will be handicaps.

The wired Laser 6000 from Microsoft is an excellent ambidextrous mouse for those who want accuracy first in applications that don't require high speed and who want to keep the cost down.
