    In 2007, networking products based on a preliminary version of the IEEE 802.11n standard (so called "pre-N" products) will replace 802.11g devices faster than it was earlier expected, and they will likely dominate the consumer WLAN market in North America by the end of this year, said Ken Kao, chairman of D-Link.
  • Single chip 802.11a/b/g solution to become mainstream this year

    The single-chip IEEE802.11a/b/g WLAN solution will be able to replace the 802.11b/g chip as the mainstream WLAN solution by the end of this year, according to Michael Lu, president of Taiwan-based WLAN RF module maker Airoha Technology.
