200 series cards really aren't price justified IMO and are just an option if you are building a new rig or have all kinds of money to throw away. I currently am in your situation with one 9800GTX and the 1920x1200 display, and the 9800GTX takes care of business...

cards (That may or may not be fixed with the 9800GTX) is the fact that there were some strange problem going with the memory I believe when it was OC'ed past 2000 that affected the longevity of the card. For what is worth, the 9800GTX is no doubt a great card...

it is not that all the dual GPU cards have terrible minimum framerate problems, its that the 9800 GX2 in particular has a major problem. G92 8800gts, 9800gtx and 9800gx2 run on identical g92 chips, except 8800gts is 50mhz higher clocked. Whatever differences...
