Hackers use brute force to crack Windows Vista's activation

Hackers have proclaimed victory over Microsoft's vaunted Windows Vista activation protection. The folks at Keznews forums say they have made a simple number guesser that takes a serial code and then tries to activate it through Microsoft's servers. It can take a while, but they say it eventually works.\

AMD's 4x4 Platform & Athlon 64 FX-70 - Brute Force Quad Cores

Since AMD is unable to provide quad-core processors yet, it has now launched the dual processor "4x4" platform and two-processor kits to fight Intel's imminent Core 2 Quad threat. Socket 1207 and a pair of Athlon 64 FX-70 series CPUs do well, but they cannot counteract Intel's Core dominance - at least not yet.
