Two high-end camcorders from JVC and Sony address the same user market at a pricepoint of more than $4,000, but utilize different sensor technologies. Sony's DCR-VX2100 is based on the DV standard with three primary sensors, while JVC's GR-PD1 utilizes only a single CCD sensor. THG determines which approach reigns supreme.
