Gateway Retail Dumps Intel for AMD CPUs

Gateway officially announced its new high-end retail desktop PC offerings. At least for now, the company has switched from Intel quad-core CPUs to AMD quad-core Phenom 9500 and 9600 CPUs.

Intel To Add More Segments In Its Naming Scheme For Montevina CPUs

Intel's has decided to extent the original naming scheme for its mobile CPUs and will add a P segment to CPUs targeting notebooks and an S class for small form factor PC CPUs to its upcoming Montevina range, which is scheduled to launch in June this year, according to sources at PC makers.
AMD Triple-core CPUs Will Be Launched To OEMs First
