Intel Core 2 Duo prices fall well below AMD price/performance curve

Intel's Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme desktop processor prices fall well below the price performance curve set by AMD, according to today's data from PriceGrabber and Froogle. If AMD wants to be the value leader again, then customers may start looking to AMD to set the curve, to see if Intel will follow. As today's chart shows, Intel won't be the one doing the following. -
Pentium D prices fall due to Core 2 intro, some Athlon 64 X2 prices follow

As expected, the official entry of Intel's new Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processors into the "in stock" category from major retailers is pushing street prices for dual-core Pentium D 900 series processors down, over 10% since last Tuesday and down about 40% since 18 July, according to the latest figures from PriceGrabber. -
LCD prices: The harder they fall

Flat-panel monitors have become more and more affordable, and the trend is accentuating. According to our confrere Purchasing.com, prices on 17" LCD computer monitors fell 19 percent between July and September, and the trend won't turn around anytime soon. -
BenQ: LCD TV prices will fall 15-20% in 2H
