Taiwan-based memory module makers have had mixed responses to a recent Semiconductor Reporter article quoting Chang-Gyu Hwang, president of Samsung Electronics' Memory Division, Device Solution Network as saying that he expects NAND flash prices to fall 40 percent every year due to maturing process technologies.
High-def media to dominate home video market by 2012

Even with sales that are estimated to come in at less than $100 million this year, the battle between the two HD formats has begun to show a negative impact on the video industry.
Semiconductor industry expects accelerating growth through 2008

The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) today provided an updated business outlook for 2006 and a general sales estimate for the coming three years. Overall, the organization does not expect a cyclical decline to arrive in the near future and believes that the market will grow by an average of almost 10 percent every year - and break the $300 billion barrier in 2008.
