The new IBM DeskStar 180GXP series may not break the 200 GB barrier, but thanks to its large cache, low seek time and the high per-platter capacity of 60 GB, it does promise to be the world's fastest IDE desktop hard drive currently available.
  • The New Generation Is Here: Celeron 2.0 GHz, with 0.13 µm
    October 16, 2002 – 1:00 PM in Overclocking
With the introduction of its 2 GHz Celeron, Intel has undertaken a general overhaul of its processors, because this low-cost model is now based on the Northwood core. This means that the new model not only heats up less but is also more powerful. Furthermore, the conversion to 0.13 µm might allow for extreme overclocking once again - we really pushed the new processor to the limit this time...
