Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) may be the only DRAM maker in Taiwan to report profits in the second quarter, while others expect losses or to break even at best, according to the companies.

Taiwan-based G-Shank Enterprise stated that stamping parts it manufactured for Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) game consoles have no defects and should not cause malfunction of the console's card reader, according to a November 20 filing the company made with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).
Asustek only first-tier mobo maker to see 1Q on-year shipment growth

Asustek Computer was the only first-tier maker to see on-year motherboard shipment growth in March and for the first quarter of this year, as Elitegroup Computers (ECS), Gigabyte Technology and Micro-Star International (MSI) saw a decline in their shipments from last year, according to shipment totals released by the companies.
