Now, researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Laboratory for Electromagnetic and Electronic Systems (LEES) are studying a new breed of "supercapacitors", which use carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Professors Joel Schindall and John Kassakian, along with Ph.D. candidate Riccardo Signorelli believe the unique properties of the CNTs could help make supercapacitors that could one day let us charge our laptops instantly.
