We tested nine AMD and Intel processors tested across 15 different benchmarks using Windows XP. Core 2 Duo is the dominating processor in the notebook/laptop space and AMD's Turion 64 X2 has become a budget option. However, all of these dual core processors deliver sufficient performance for mainstream applications. The Price/Performance Index relates US$ costs to the overall performance.
