A website vaguely describing what could be a handheld device is heating up rumors on the Internet, OrigamiProject.com, registered to Microsoft, is believed to outlined a new approach to generate a product category between the PDA and the Tablet PC, which appears to fit very well into Intel's description of a Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC). -

No, Origami has not been announced. At least not officially. But several sources hinted that a UMPC shown at IDF would be "very similar" to the mysterious Origami device Microsoft will be unveiling on 9 March at the CeBIT tradeshow in Hanover, Germany. -

So what is it? Do you want an ultra-mobile PC for yourself? Are you willing to shell out as much as $1000 for one? Microsoft's hyped announcement last week at CeBit could go down as one of the biggest backfires in the history of product marketing, let alone computing. But let's be fair: Is it really that bad?
