Samsung to unveil low power display panel without color filter

Samsung said it will unveil a new 32 inch LCD at a display conference in Yokohama, Japan, next week. Unlike other conventional LCD displays the new display will not use a color filter to separate out the red, green and blues, but will rely on the backlight to separately transmit the colors.
