    If you haven't known it before, here's the official confirmation. According to "The Pop List," president George W. Bush leads the popularity ranking for men on the Internet and singer Madonna for women - at least when you count the number of appearances on web pages.

    Intel defended its position as largest chip manufacturer worldwide in the first quarter of this year. Samsung edged closer to Intel, but Renesas and Toshiba were the only large semiconductor firms to post significant sequential growth and shook up the ranking, according to market research firm iSuppli.
