Hynix to sample 8Gbit NAND flash this month

Hynix Semiconductor will commence production for its first 8Gbit NAND flash in October at earliest with related customer sampling starting this month, according to industry sources.

With Spansion recently showcasing its latest 90nm-made 1Gbit ORNAND multi cell package (MCP) single-chip solution, sources from Scansion's customers stated the memory maker will begin sampling the chip for handset makers as early as late October.
Intel to sample Conroe processor in Q1 2006
