I was looking forward to buying and playing Spore... Too bad. I'll have to find some other game now.

well, these games definitely won't be hitting my shelves. (with drm) Software is supposed to just work and work well, not screw everything up.

Here's a simple solution for everyone that will work. I like steam, it's simple, I just don't like having to run it in the background but it does have some features that i don't use, but may in the future. And I would like the idea of being able to play the game without being online. Especially for those of us that travel with our pc's. A constant check is not necessary, just on occasion would be more than enough, and shutting the game down if you're not online when it checks? that's just lame.

having said all of that, anyone who wants to go through with the copy protection, you might as well just go try and get so me virus'. It seems that is what most DRM turns out to be anyway, a way for someone to control your pc via software. Control freaks.

any game with SecuROM, i will stay away.

the only solution the game company left for me and million other gamers, that would be a pirated version of the game with out the SecuROM, period.

you are pushing it too far to a point where i just don't need sh!t installed on my hardcore $3,000 dollars PC.

and i do uninstall and reinstall window some times, in fact, i swap xp & vista sometimes depends on the game, and my gaming notebook.

Bioshock FUXKED me over last summer, and i will not let that sh!t happen again.

DRM I dont understand. Rob states in the video "I dont know what the alternative is".

My question is simple. What does a company do to protect their product on a platform that has a HUGE problem with piracy??? I'm not at all surprised companies are doing this. I predict it will get worse.
