5 Overclocking Records Broken With G.SKILL DDR3 Memory at Computex
By

At Computex 2012, renowned extreme overclockers broke five records with G.SKILL’s high- performance DDR3 memory.

Super Pi 32M’s 4 min. 44.734 sec. record

Legendary overclockers Fredyama-san and Shamino racked up a super-fast Super Pi 32M time of 4 min. 44.734 sec. with G.SKILL’s DDR3 2,646 MHz CL5-9-7-18 1T high-performance memory and an ASUS Maximus V Formula motherboard and an Intel Core i7 3770K CPU.

Memory Bandwidth: Read Speed of 32,339 MB/s

Extreme overclocker Hiwa Pouri set a new memory bandwidth world record by achieving a 32,339 MB/s read-speed with G.SKILL TridentX’ DDR3 2900MHz CL10 1T high-performance memoryand a sophisticated sub-timing adjustment, while using an ASUS Maximus V Formula motherboard and an Intel Core i7 3770K CPU.

3DMark 11: 31,299

With G.SKILL RipjawsZ ultra-fast DDR3 memory running at 2,468 MHz, renowned 3DMark overclockers Kingpin and Duck-san broke the 3DMark 11 world record with an incredible score of 31,299. This monster machine consisted of an X79 motherboard, a 4x graphic cards, a 1,500 W PSU, and an Intel 3930K Core i7 CPU.

16 GB DDR3 Memory Speed: 3,286 MHz

Using best-in-class G.SKILL TridentX 2,800 MHz 16 GB DDR3 memory, an ASUS Maximus V Formula motherboard, and an Intel Core i7 3770K CPU; extreme overclocker Hiwa Pouri once again achieved the ultimate DDR3 3286MHz speed record with a 16 GB ultra-high-density kit.

The Fastest DDR3 Memory Frequency: 3,842 MHz

During the overclocking live show at the Antec booth, renowned overclocker John Lam, also broke the DDR3 memory frequency world record by raising the extreme memory speed bar to 3,842 MHz using G.SKILL’s TridentX memory and Gigabyte’s GA-A75-UD4H motherboard. CPUZ has validated this impressive achievement as the highest RAM frequency ever reached.
