Hey guys! I've just bought a FX-8350 and paired it with a Gigabyte 880gm-ud2h, everything is working fine, the only problem is that the CPU is running at 2.81Ghz (when it should be running at 4ghz)
I searched for a cpu clock in the BIOS but couldn't find anything, or at least I didn't see it :S

Does anybody know anything about this? I read about other people having the same problem and some of them found the cpu clock option in the bios, but idk if they had the same mobo rev as me.

Thanks!!

Solution
As far as I can see the only AM3+ Chips your board supports are 95w 1st gen chips. This board does not support the 8350 fully so it knocks the clock speed down to 2.8

Make sure your BIOS "auto detect" feature is disabled and manually set the clock multiplier setting to 20. That will put it squarely at 4.0 GHz. While you're in there, you may as well disable cool n quiet, which is an AMD feature that will throttle down the CPU at certain times...

Get a gigabyte 970A-G46 if you like Gigabyte boards, if you're not particular you can get an asrock 970 extreme3 or asus M5A97 LE for about $75 for either one...(slightly cheaper than the gigabyte board)

The thing is that im kinda low on budget so I need a mobo with integrated graphics and if possible 4 ram slots and pci-E 2.0
Do you know a motherboard with similar specs as mine but with 125W CPU support?
Here are my mobo's specs:

Thanks a lot, is there any risk in continue to run the CPU at 95W?

I'm not sure there's much of a problem with it running at 95w just less power and performance, i have a gigabyte 990fx aud3, not a bad board and quite cheap. You could even get a sabertooth 990fx
