I bought a refurbished computer, and I get Blue Screen ( BSOD ) after sleep mode. I'm running windows 7 64 bit. I-7 2600. ATI HD 6750 ( only uses HD 5700 driver for some reason, but I'm told it's essentially the same, and run games fin ).

BSOD usually list a kernal issue I believe and then dumps the files. This happens often and is annoying, please help

Turn off sleep and hibernate, they have issues that will never be fixed -- Windows 8 is now the priority at MS.

If you insist on using one of them, at least go through and specifically select critical components that are not allowed to sleep, like the PCI bus for example.

Eventually, one of those BSODs is going to create a much greater issue, so back up your data, which you should do in any case.

Most power savings can be achieved by just using a blank screen saver that shuts your monitor off in say 20 minutes.
