Hey guys i'm new here and would love some help with this problem. I went out and bought myself a DVI (Male) to HDMI(female) adaptor for my computer monitor to set up my ps3 to it. Well when I set everything up an error message popped up reading: "Cannot Display This Video Mode. Optimum resolution 1280x1024 60Hz" So I went back into my Ps3 display settings and changed the resolution to 720, then plugged it back up to my monitor. As I turned it on I didn't get the error message i received running a 1080p resolution earlier. Instead I was given a blank screen with nothing on it. Is there anything I can do to hook up my Ps3 system to my monitor with out having to go out and buying a better quality computer monitor?
Thanks for the help in advanced guys.

I'm sorry to reply again, but it seems like I cant put it to 720. The lowest I could put it on was 800x600 and it still didnt work. So its best I should just go buy a better monitor?

Okay i just found the 1280x720, it didn't work either. It seems like i just need a new monitor with a HDMI input. Thank you for your help though :) I really appreciate it!
