Google Chrome adress bar search won't work

Hello everyone!

I have an interessing issue with my Chrome browser. I don't get it.
When I last used my computer, I could just enter text like "tratata" into the adress bar, press the return (enter) key, and it searched the web. Now, I can type in the word, but if I press the return (enter) key, nothing happens.
If I type an adress like "gmail.com" it works just fine.

What could by the problem?

Thank you, but that did not help. You know I can use Google...
For anybody else who reads this: The problem was my search engine was somehow screwed up, and I couldn't change it, or add another one. I had to reset the default chrome settings, and everything worked like a charm.

Hey man, I just recently ran into the same problem as you. I fixed the problem by going to settings<search then selecting google. I don't know why this happened but somehow my omnibox was using google translate. Hope this helps!

Hey Amrash, the problem is already solved (Reset settings).
Omnibox always changes to some crap engine, but that was not the problem for me. It WAS set on Google Search.
