In a small law office we have 3 desktops running Windows 7 and one Server. 1 of the desktops is new and I can't for the life of me get it to map to file server. It needs to connect to the file servers P drive and a folder named "Client Files" on the E drive. I have added the new desktop to the domain which is "tims.local" I have turned on network discovery and file sharing. When I go to map the drive and browse it can see the file server named "officemngr" however not any of the drives or folder. When I try and just type it in and search it, it says something along the lines of"Network Path cannot be found or may be misspelled ". Not sure what I am missing. Can anyone of you help me? We're desperate. Thanks!

Solution
1. Firewall
2. Ping gateway, ping DC, ping other clients
3. check user's permission
3. check your server dhcp scope
4. check share and storage management
