My Lenovo G50-70 series laptop shuts down whenever i play game while charger plugged in. On battery mode my game works fine and i am able to play. The problem only arises when charger is plugged in. And this is not because of overhearting m damn sure because i have played counter strike on my laptop before as well. Please help. Is it my battery problem or charger or something else???

I had exactly the same problem with my brand new lenovo z510 last year. I performed many tests on the laptop but to no avail. The incompetent lenovo service center in India took 76 days to solve my problem. In the process they changed the motherboard and the CPU (which supposedly solved it) but I don't trust what they say. The service center was just 10 days old when I contacted them. Now after an year the problem has resurfaced. This time they told me that they have seen a lot of laptops with this problem within the year. They are going to replace the motherboard now. My own research into the problem indicatea that Nec-Tokin component ks faulty. Over the time your laptop will start shutting down even when you are not playing any game...
It is actually quite likely overheating.
At the least, blow the vents out by blasting an aircan thru the intake vents (with laptop unpowered)
I would think over time that it's normal to lose cooling efficiency... thermal paste dries up a bit, dust gets drawn in.
You're probably running the system full steam when plugged in. Blow her out, and look at putting more clearance under the laptop or even buying a fan cooler to go under it.

No man its not overheating i mentioned above also..i have checked my temp from cpuz its around 45 n it is not overheating.

Bring it to computer repair shop, they will repair all your laptop problem (but yeah, you must pay for it :D )

I guess your laptop's nec tokin was broken
it located under your cpu socket, so only pro technician can replace it.

If i where you, I'd better to bring it to the repair shop rather than messing my laptop.

Over the time your laptop will start shutting down even when you are not playing any game and the time will decrease each time. My intuition also says that it has something to do capacitors :p don't ask why. If your laptop is in warranty, just get your motherboard replaced. If not, take it to a technician and tell him that Nec-Tokin needs to be replaced.
