I was looking through newegg and I saw that there were two coolers by corsair that look exactly the same. I originally purchased the h110i gt but I thought the gtx meant it was better so I ordered the gtx version and planned to return the h110i gt.

After a little bit of researching, I figured out the difference between these two coolers was that corsair got them from different companies. "Cool it" for the h110i gt and "Asetek" for the h110i gtx.
I also heard that the h110i gtx had a better pump.

So this got me questioning. I wanted to see proof that the h110i gtx is actually better in a way but I could not find "side to side" benchmarks of the two coolers and I don't understand why. Which cooler is better? A benchmark of the two cards in the same testbench will also be very awesome too.

Thank You!

I have both. The gtx is louder and cools about a degree better than the gt at same rpm. But the gt being able to group with other items and set to temp/rpm mode is the big winner. I...

I know the specs but I can't tell which one has the lower temperature

They are nearly identical; there would be <1% performance difference between them...if even that much. They are essentially the same exact cooler, one is CoolIT (GT) and one is Asetek (GTX) with minor differences - maybe minuscule differences due to different pump firmware...if any. Don't ask me why Corsair would do such a thing like this.

The asetek (gtx) is much cheaper for Corsair, and has severe firmware limitations, it's speed cannot be reduced below 1890, it cannot be grouped to monitor other temps, like cpu temp..only to water temp and the fan speeds are not available to outside monitoring programs, like AIDA64

I just switched from a gtx to gt. Much better, the temp curve feature lets me reduce the fan speed and make the unit quieter on idle...

Nice, thank you for a really good response but do you have anything on the side by side performance comparisons as in temps?
