i'm looking at getting the AMD APU A10-7860K Quad-Core and the ASRock FM2A68M-DG3+ FM2+ Motherboard or the ASRock FM2A88X PRO3+ Socket FM2+,

my PC as is now has as Following
.CPU FX 4100

.GPU R7 250x

.8GB of DDR3

.PSU 850w

.500HD

end

so i'm just looking for a new CPU and or MB and CPU

for streaming at 720p at 60 fps on OBS

Do you really want AMD only? Or can I suggest you something with Intel?

If not, here is what I recommend (the motherboard you chose is great, but if you want an edge in overclocking...get this):

Since you already have a GPU, you don't need to waste money on an APU. The 880K is a great deal for the FM2+ platform. And don't get into the Dual Graphics stuff. It's plagued with problems.

What mobo do you have currently? If it's good, your probably better off with an FX 8320.

my Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G can that handle the FX 8320,

and if i stay with FX and get the FX 8320 them i'm looking at the MSI Gaming 970 Gaming AM3+/AM3 AMD 970 and SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

That's where I don't recommend you go. Going with AMD for that much money is not a wise investment.

Until AMD Zen comes out, Intel is hands down better than AMD.

I recommend you go with a Core i3 or Core i5 Skylake CPU and a H170 motherboard. You'll be getting far better performance, features, efficiency, etc.

The only arena where AMD currently is a bit better is in the sub $110 market.

and do i need to upgrading my ram to DDR4 or can i stay at DDR3

i want to stay at DDR3 for the cost

to upgrading to DDR4 mins i need a new Motherboard

Most 760G boards do not support 125w CPUs, but yours appears to:

http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4305

Be aware that the A10 7860K, in terms of gaming performance, falls somewhere between a $50 Intel Pentium and $120 Core i3, and is generally closer to the Pentium. It has the single-thread per-clock performance of a ~2007 Intel Core2 CPU, and beats the Pentium only because it has twice as many cores. The FX-8350's cores are even slower per clock but you get 8 of them. Many games rely heavily on single-threaded performance, so even the 8-core FX is often slower than a $120 Core i3 in gaming, making AMD's entire CPU lineup a poor choice for today's games.

However, an FX-83xx would be a nice upgrade over what you have and cost effective compared with changing motherboards and processors, even if it will still be relatively low-end. My 2 cents: Don't buy an FM2+ or AM3+ motherboard, these are ancient, dead platforms. However, since you already have a board, a CPU upgrade to buy you some time can make sense, but be aware that many games will not run at 60fps and a few will run poorly no matter what you do.

AMD's Zen CPU coming out next year is probably not going to be as fast as Intel's existing CPUs, but will be a huge improvement over AMD's existing CPUs, and if pricing is right it might still be a viable choice.

Igh Ecky is right, I forgot that some 760G CPUs don't run 125w CPUs. But if yours appears to then great!

However, either way I suggest going with an FX 8320E since it's a 95W CPU instead and your mobo will (guaranteed) not have issues with it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113376

The AM3+ platform is already going on 5 years old, so there is no way DDR4 is supported.
